Teach-in methods:
The sensor
requires a teach-in. You can choose one out of four teach-in methods. Use the
plus and minus buttons to navigate to tch for teach confirm with
"set".
Two-point-teach factory setting:
Select the teach in menu 2p for the
two-point teach in method and confirm with set. The display shows first
requesting the first print mark place the print mark on the light spot and
press set now second is displayed indicating that the second teach point is
required. Now move the background under the light spot and press set again. A
digit value between 0 and 100 shows the quality of teach – the higher the number
the better the quality.
If "Err" for error is displayed a
faulty teach is indicated and the teach-in needs to be redone.
Dynamic teach:
Select the teach-in menu "Dyn" for
the dynamic teach in method. Now move the print mark or the background on the
light spot and press set. Let mark and background move under the lights but for
several times. During teach in the display shows a running bar graph. We
recommend to use at least two to three repeat lengths. When finished press the
set button again - a digit value between 0 and 100 shows the quality of teach.
The higher the number the better the quality. If "Err" for error is
displayed a faulty teach is indicated and the teach in needs to be redone.
One point
teach:
The one
point each is also called the colour mode: In this mode the sensor is working
like a colour sensor and is recognizing colours. Select the teach-in method 1P
for one point-teach and confirm with set. Move the coloured mark under the
sensor and press set. The digit value always shows 100 as the quality of teach.
Now only the taught in colour is detected by the sensor.
Auto mode:
Select the
menu "AUT" for the automatic mode. Now move the print mark or the
background under the light spot and press set. After confirmation the sensor
switches into run mode and shows live values.
Threshold:
The automatically set threshold can be adjusted
manually as well: Use the plus and minus buttons in order to navigate to THR
for threshold - confirm with "set". The shown remission value is the
value that was set during teach--in exactly in between the value of the mark
and the background. Use the plus and minus buttons to move the threshold closer
to the mark or the background. Confirm the new value with "set".
How to Key lock of SICK KTS/KTX Mark sensor:
The
push buttons can be locked with a key lock function: Press the plus button for longer
than 10 seconds and the keypad is locked. "LOC" is displayed - for
unlocking press the plus button for 10 seconds again.
How to Reset SICK kts/ktx mark sensor

the sensor to default settings press both plus and minus button at the same
time for longer than 10 seconds. "RES" for reset is displayed and the settings
are reset.
Escape:
For
leaving the current menu item hold down the minus button for longer than 3
